“I do wish very strongly to become more expert,” Frank continued, this time with a frustrated look on his face. “But no company document, no software and hardware document, no firmware document, how can we do anything?”

“We need a document system and make it available on the company intranet,” said John. “When some people leave the company their work is not lost in this case.”

“When there’s something wrong with the network server we can get from the backup,” continued John.

And then, as though he was aware that the U.S. office was afraid of the leaking of the intellectual property, John said, “Of course, the access list can be restricted.”

“But for doing serious and big projects like the FPGA system, we need a complete procedure and plan. And for the FPGA platform we need a clear requirement, because it’s used for 2 to 3 years,” said John.

“And we should finish the plan before we develop the board,” continued John. “But from the U.S. the tasks come to us suddenly. Not well planned in advance.”

“These systems are very complicated and we need to plan carefully in advance. The U.S. office does not share plans with us. We want to hear new plans in advance, instead of just asking us to do it on Monday and to be done by Friday. This will force us to compress our schedules,” said John further.

“And that depresses us,” he laughed.

Zugal too laughed, nodding his head in agreement with John.
