There are many ways to segue to the money conversation. Most are variations on the simple theme of, “Let's talk about money.” Experiment with the various approaches below to see what works best for you.

1. Be matter of fact.

“We've talked about everything else. Now, let's talk about the cost.”

Note the use of “the cost” and not “our fees.” This is about what it costs to do what they need done, not what “you” will charge. Precise language makes it more objective and professional.
