Chapter Seven

My wife wasn’t helping matters. For the next couple of days she dropped numerous hints about how I never took her anywhere special. I knew this would happen. “I’m saving up for it, I promise. We’ll go somewhere nice and romantic,” was all I could say. She didn’t believe me.

I probably didn’t sound too convincing. Tina occupied my every waking thought. I hadn’t heard from her since she dashed into the house and it started to drive me a little bonkers.

Wasn’t she even going to call and say goodbye? Dump me just like that, with a cold shoulder and icy heart.

Dump me? Cripes, I scolded myself, we’re not even going out. We’re not even in a relationship. We had a fling. That’s it.

It sounded a whole lot easier than it felt. I shuffled into the study and plopped down in the chair. I must have sat there for a good hour staring at the desk. Remembering.

Tina splayed out across it, naked. Her legs wide, my cock pumping in and out of her tight, juicy pussy. The multiple expressions that crossed her face, each one sexier than the last. The way her eyes not only looked into mine but seemed to peer into my soul.

I heaved what must have been the hundredth sigh that day. Damn it, Tom, why did you have to go and find your roots? And why did you have to take your daughter along? Weren’t you supposed to do those things on your own? You know, make it a personal pilgrimage kind of thing.

I slumped even further. I don’t remember ever being depressed in my life so I wasn’t sure what it even felt like. I was willing to bet I felt worse.

So bad in fact I didn’t even hear the phone ring.

My wife startled me when she came in. “Sit up, Frank, are you trying to throw out your back?” Just what I needed right now, a lecture. “It’s for you.”

I grabbed the phone. “Thanks,” I muttered. My wife left the room and I put the handset to my ear. Probably screwed something up at work. “Hello?”

“How’s my sexy neighbor doing?” Tina’s voice caressed me through the line.

I shot up. “Tina!” I couldn’t help but sound excited. “Where have you been?”

“Across the street, silly.” She laughed. “You didn’t think I forgot about you, did you?”

Actually, yeah, the thought crossed my mind a time or two. “No, not at all.”

“Liar.”

“All right, you busted me. The truth is I’ve missed seeing you.”

“Aw, that’s so sweet.” She paused. “Can I tell you something?”

“Sure.”

“I missed seeing you, too.”

My chest swelled with pride. Just like that the past couple of dark, dreary days lifted and I felt young and prime again, ready for anything. Of course she was still leaving. “I bet you’re looking forward to the trip.”

“Oh my god, I can’t tell you how excited I am. I mean, this is like the opportunity of a lifetime. This past week has been insane. I think mom is going to pass out from the stress.
