Combining
Stir the flour mixture and pour it into the gula melaka syrup. Mix over low flame until mixture thickens and forms a smooth batter.
Remove from flame and pour the batter into a lightly oiled pan. Steam for 30 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Steamed Grated Coconut
Steam grated coconut with salt and pandan leaves for 10–15 minutes. Remove from steamer and set aside to cool.
Coating Kueh with Grated Coconut
After kueh has cooled down, use an ice cream scoop to spoon out bite-sized pieces, or cut with knife/scissors. Coat kueh with steamed grated coconut.
