Humble Servant, Known by God

God will evaluate our service for Him now on Earth to determine how we’ll serve Him on the New Earth.

We say we want to be God’s servants, and to serve others. Yet there’s nothing we resent more than being treated like servants. May God give us the heart of a faithful servant, who is first about God, second about others, and third about ourselves.

Scripture teaches that God will evaluate our service for Him on the present Earth to determine how we’ll serve Him on the New Earth. The humble servant will be put in charge of much, whereas the one who has lorded it over others in the present world will have power taken away: “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 14:11).

Being well-known here doesn’t matter. Hearing God say “Well done” does! To be known by God—it doesn’t get any better than that!
