What Temperature Is Needed?

Peppers, eggplants and tomatoes are all heat-lovers and thrive in temperatures around 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit after they have germinated. Most other plants, however, require cooler temperatures. For instance, cabbages and vegetables similar to them will become quite leggy and weak if exposed to temperatures that are too warm. That being said, make sure all seedlings, except for the heat-lovers, are removed from the propagation mat (if being used) the moment they grow a couple sets of leaves.
