YANG TUI (FRONT HEEL KICK)

Stand in arrow stance. Slide the back foot flat along the floor and kick in an arc, as high as you can. Keep the foot flexed and the leg straight—do not snap the kick. As you kick, block the groin with your fist.

TET TUI (FRONT TOE KICK)

This kick is similar to yang tui, except that the toe is pointed down. As you kick, circle the arm so that the palm slaps the top of the foot at the highest point of the kick.

LIN WAN TUI (DOUBLE KICK)

Lin wan tui is a double front toe kick. It can be done two ways—the first is the slow way. Stand in arrow stance. Execute a front toe kick. Before putting the foot down, jump up and kick with the other leg. After completing the second kick, place the foot behind in arrow stance. The fast way is to jump up during the first kick, and complete both kicks before landing.
