SEAN

This woman is something. How can someone be so traditional and modest in one minute and then turn into a vixen the next?

I cannot seem to get enough. I wanted more. Her body fitted perfectly against mine. All soft and curves.

She pressed her breasts against my chest as she gave little moans when I took my time kissing her pretty neck. I was rock hard. How could I not be?

When her hands reached for my shirt buttons, I paused and stared into her eyes. My question was clear. A quick nod from her had me grabbing her butt and helping her sit better on the table as I cleared everything behind her.

I run my fingers across her cream chiffon shirt and had her nipples peaking. Her body responded to me like an ancient song.

Her hands splayed across my chest, sending liquid fire around my body. And I thought it was all going great until she said, “I thought you never date from Charlestown?”

I pulled my head up abruptly to look her in the eye. We were not on the same page. “And who says we’re dating?”

She looked at me like I’d slapped her in the face. And like a flash, she jumped down from the table and adjusted her blouse.

“Michelle, I thought we both understood what was happening,” I tried to explain. Even though the moment was gone, I wouldn’t want us to leave things like this. “Look, I’m not like my brothers. I’m not the long-term relationship or marriage kind of guy, and I know that’s what you want.”

She scoffed bitterly, but still said nothing. Her silence was driving me crazy. I buttoned my shirt and adjusted my painful hard-on. “Talk to me, Michelle.”

She started to arrange her table and set everything back in order.

“Fine; at least look at me.”

Even I was not prepared for the fire in her eyes when she turned to face me.

“So, let me get this straight. You think I’m looking to hook you into a serious relationship and so we can get married and live happily ever after?”

“Umm. . . .”

“Oh, of course. You probably think I am a stupid small town, naïve girl who cannot handle something casual?”

“It's not—”

Then she smiled. A light-lipped smile that gave me chills. “Well, you’re wrong, soldier. Too bad you’ll never get to find out.”

“I—”

“Since we’re done here. I have to close the shop now.” She pointed at the door.

And with that face, I knew her mind was made up. Damn it. I cannot believe I blew that!
