Chapter 11
Nick
Nick pressed his palms against the door, waiting for Hollyâs cue that the cameras were rolling. He took another look at his costume: red velvety pants that hung low on his hips and a red vest splayed open against his chest. He appreciated the way the costume showed off his chest and arms and hoped Holly would feel the same. Sheâd definitely seemed to enjoy touching him there earlier.
Not since his first theater audition in New York had he felt this mixture of nerves and excitement. And while heâd expected to feel some natural nervousness about the whole pornography part, he really didnât. Nick was an actor, and a job was a job.
No, what made him nervous was Holly. How he felt a deeper, more meaningful connection to her every minute. Her moans and her giggles did equally glorious things to his body, making him want to devote his time to nothing else but pulling more of them out of her. And he had a sinking suspicion that once he touched her, really touched her without restraint, he would be ruined for anyone else.
The one night she offered him would never be enough. But dammit, heâd take it.
âYou ready in there?â
He shook his hands out at his sides. âReady, boss.â
As heâd hoped, she chuckled. But he also hoped she got the messageâshe was in charge, and he respected the hell out of her for it.
âAlright. Cameras are on, Iâm getting in place.â Her voice was more distant, but he heard it loud and clear. âAnd 3...2...1. Action!â
Nick opened the door quietly, letting his eyes adjust to the brighter lighting in the room the filming necessitated. Together, he and Holly had scooted the tree even closer to the giant bed, and while it made a somewhat strange tableau, it meant the whole scene could be captured by the cameras sheâd set up. Each camera loomed over the scene, poised on the tripods and pointed toward the bed and tree. He wondered if they should have talked more about how to make sure to stay in the shot, what positions and angles would be best captured on the bed, how to make this all work.
And then he saw her. Glowing under the lights, wrapped in a shining red satin robe tied at the waist. She bit her lower lip as she watched him approach, toying innocently with the bow, and he knew she was nervous, too. Maybe thinking some of the same things he wasâthat there would be no going back after this, and they were going to do it anyway.
Even though he knew he wasnât yet in the shot, he let his eyes roam her appreciatively, starting at her red painted toes, then gliding around the curve of her calf, over the round circle of her knee and up her strong thigh to where her pale skin disappeared beneath the robe.
Then they were face to face.
âWhy, hello there Santa.â
The words were slightly different from the script, but what he noticed more was her voice.
