DAY 65: YINCHUAN

”Of course I am Hui!” the driver exclaims with a big smile. His nose is rather pronounced with a high and bent bridge. His face is shaped like a long oval and his mouth has traits that would seem exotic for a Han. I cannot help but reflect that this appears to be an example of certain genetic differences.

It is the afternoon of October 4th and I am on my way to the airport to fly back to Beijing. I have to attend to matters in the office that have arisen while I was walking and so in the morning I left Zhongning on a bus.
