Chapter Six

The man had lost his mind.

So had she.

Her body quivered in spasms of rapturous delight, soaking up every kiss and lick of the mouth violating her pussy. Slick poured from her, feeding the hungry male she no longer recognized.

Blue eyes were now blacker than sin, and Gabriel feasted on her as though she was the only thing on the menu. She didn’t like it, unsure of this change, this situation. Her hands were on his head, pushing him away as her legs kicked and her hips writhed to avoid the most intimate kiss of her life.

This was so wrong in too many ways to count, but no matter how much she squirmed and slapped at the source of her unease, the estrus was overruling everything, determined to consume every inch of her in its desire for completion.

“Enough!” she shouted, setting her bare heels against the hard ridges of Gabriel’s collarbone, almost folding herself in half to gain leverage. She kicked, catching him off-guard and sending him stumbling back two steps as the action slid her further up the obsidian slab. “I’m not doing this!”

Oh fuck. She swallowed audibly, wondering what her chances of making it across the clearing and escaping into the woods might be if she bolted. Zero was the answer, she thought dismally as she cramped again.

“I don’t want to hurt you, but there’s no longer a choice.”

Her attention locked onto the thick appendage jutting from his groin. Had there ever been a choice with that thing involved? She scrambled back, trying to find purchase on the shiny surface of the altar, then decided her body was a back-stabbing traitor and rolled toward the edge.

Leaping forward, Gabriel clamped his hands down on her hips, flipping her over onto her belly on the stone and hauling her back until the lip of the altar fit snugly against her upper thighs. The heat of his body merged with hers, suffocating her as the estrus raged in triumph.

River pushed herself up, straining for the edge of the altar, but the damned sweats were back again, making her skin slippery. Panting, torn between finding the energy to fight yet again or simply give up, she whimpered when his fingers clamped down on her nape, the other grasping her left hand and linking their fingers.

“Gabriel, please…”

The wolf mounted her without hesitation.
