“Get off of me, mon” he said pushing her away. “You know that I can’t even stand being in the same room as you, mon. So, to even think that I desire you makes me sick to the stomach.” Cynthia pushed Kingston in the back of his head.

“You’ll desire me once more Kingston,” she replied as she walked off. “You will desire me once more.” Cynthia charged into the house feeling angry and disrespected. She couldn’t believe how Mary was talking to her in front of everyone, especially her children. She knew that it would take a powerful spell to get him to fall back in love with her, and if Kingston was going to be the one who takes George’s place when he dies, then she needed to be the one who was by his side.

Shade came out of her room dressed in a lime green and yellow spaghetti-strapped sundress. She washed her hair and put some mousse in it to make it curly. Her engagement ring was sitting on the dresser, and she was trying to decide if it was a good idea to put it on. She remembered how Kingston stressed that she needed to wear it during the blessing ceremony, so she quickly put it on her finger before leaving out of the room.

As Shade made her way down the hall, she could hear a heated conversation going on between a man and a woman. It was in her nature to be nosy, so she quickly and quietly made her way to the door. She peaked through a crack and saw Chauncey and some woman dressed in a nurse’s uniform in the middle of an argument. One part of Shade wanted to walk away from the door, but the other part of her felt like it was important to eavesdrop on Chauncey.

“I tought you said Cynthia was just a person of interest,” said the woman. “But you lied to me! Why didn’t you tell me dat you were involved in a relationship with her?” Chauncey scratched his head.

“I told you Nicole. Cynthia is my brother’s ex-wife, mon, and if I wanted to get an advantage over him, I needed to use her to get it. She’s the mother of his children, and my brother worships those kids. If he was to find out dat Cynthia made a deal with a voodoo priestess to make him fall in love with her, den she would be done, mon.” He walked up to the woman trying to grab her hand. She jerked away from him and walked to the other side of the room.

“I believe dat the only reason why you’re feeding me this line Chauncey, is because you want me to finish your dirty work. I agreed to host dis spell on your father, because I believed you loved me,” said the woman.

“I do love you Nicole,” said Chauncey walking up on her. He put both hands on her shoulders massaging them gently. “And I need you to finish dis for me.
