Corporal George Voelk is still a dog handler in Toronto, Ontario. Nash, a bomb detection dog, served through several elections, the “Toronto 18” investigation, the Olympics, and the G20. She is retired now and living with a very lucky and well protected family in Ontario. Constable Greg Hawkins and Dodger are still in service near Edmonton, Alberta. Dodger is still nuts, and still a great police dog. Constable Trent Sperlie is working in the Regina, Saskatchewan drug section. Levi is retired, and is living with the civilian family who originally donated him to the RCMP. Constable Craig Webb is still hunting for drug couriers on the highways in Manitoba. Tank, although not an active drug dog anymore, is a very popular guest D.A.R.E.* presenter in Manitoba grade six classrooms. Tank still lives with Craig. Sergeant Bob Lowe retired the very day we became dog handlers, having served Canadians and the Police Dog Service program with distinction. Memphis and I are still in service in Toronto, Ontario. She still honks and she still sings and she is still often grumpy, but she finds drugs just fine.
