Dewey lived in the library for nineteen years.

It’s good to go after what you want, but sometimes it’s better to wait and see if it will come to you.

Add whimsy to the world

Cats like to amuse themselves in peculiar ways, and in doing so, they also amuse the rest of us. A cat may squeeze itself into a teeny tiny basket, or twist into the shape of a pretzel and fall sound asleep, or stampede through the house chasing imaginary prey. Cats are as famous for their antics as they are for their expressions of bored indifference as they stare back from atop someone’s head or from the inside of a winter boot.

When they’re being silly and playful, cats remind us not to take ourselves too seriously. They encourage us to make time for nonsense, no matter how old we are: After all, adult cats are as kooky as kittens! And above everything else, they teach us that the best reason to do anything is because it’s just plain fun.
