Around 1900, the N&W built a connector from Idlewild north to the B&OSW at Bond Hill and the CH&D at Ivorydale. This view shows the Bond Hill passenger depot nearing completion. (Dan E. Finfrock collection.)

The Little Miami Railroad maintained the above depot at Linwood, the station for Mount Washington. In this c. 1897 view, the surroundings were still pastoral. By 1937, the depot had been relegated to storage use at the east throat to Undercliff yard. On the Ohio River floodplain, the depot was inundated by floodwaters a number of times. At left is a close-up view of the Little Miami depot at Red Bank. The agent and family pose on a pleasant day. (Above, Cincinnati Railroad Club collection; left, author’s collection.)
