Dave didn’t turn up at lunchtime or at 7:30, so I ventured forth alone, determined to make a good night of it. I decided to try Deja Vu (where Namtai’s friend worked). The girls were OK-ish, some barfinable.

A girl approached me, so I brought her a drink. Her name was On. She was 22, married with two children. She was very pleasant, but I felt no chemistry. Interestingly, while we were talking, the girls (who had previously been dancing naked – short skirts hitched up, bras removed or pushed aside) suddenly covered up. I said, “Tamruat?” (“Police?”) and she laughed. I later saw two policemen travelling down the soi on a motorcycle.

I tipped her 100 and went to Long Gun. There was not a single girl I fancied. All seemed tall, and some heavyish; all seemed 20+, many mid to late twenties. Great music though!

Two showgirls performed right in front of me (I was sitting at the stage). It was almost like having a private lap dance.

Set 1: cowboy hats + high boots, only 6 girls. Set 2: pink bikinis, about 12. Left just before 10 (I’ve seen all their shows before, and it looked as though they would be done covered up this time),

Went to Baccara. It was crowded, and there seemed to be many more girls. About 12 – 14 downstairs and 9 upstairs. It was great when the sets changed and crammed onto the stage together!

There were so many beautiful girls it was hard to choose. Two caught my eye immediately – the one whom I eventually barfined, and one with acute buck tooth (#99). Upstairs I saw #24 again, and a young-looking cutie (#14) who made me feel really horny – but it seemed hard to get their attention. I signalled to #24, but she didn’t notice. It was this that made me decide to give Midnite a try in the hope I would be approached by a girl.

In the event, the only empty seat in Midnite was right next to a girl – An, from Chiang Mai. I didn’t fancy her at first, but did the polite thing and bought her a drink. As I talked to her I got to like her more. She was proud of being from Chiang Mai, and said that CM girls are beautiful. She was quite tall for a Thai, had paler skin, and a more elegant look. I would have barfined her if she had been warmer. I gave her 100 baht tip and left, as I couldn’t see any other girls I fancied.

I resumed my “usual” seat in Baccara, and decided to chat to #99 (Buck Tooth). Couldn’t see her, but quite fancied #44 (and several others). There are so many beautiful girls in this place that it is hard to make a choice (the opposite problem from many other bars where there are so many plain Janes that it is hard to make a choice!) I tried upstairs and saw that #24 had also gone (a check with the board confirmed this).
