Sam ran to the stairs with the iron in hand,

He readied the weapon to make his last stand.

Sam cranked up the heat and he held it out flat,

Then into the slime and he heard it go “Splat”.

But no, nothing happened. Slime just kept coming.

Sam turned to Sarah and said, “Let’s start running.”

Well, Sarah agreed and they both left the house.

They stood there powerless, just like a scared mouse.

Sarah read the answer and looked at the door,

The answer was simple: “It’s steam, nothing more”

Sarah said, “We can stop it! Steam makes it shrink!”

Sam said, “I will just need a moment to think.”

Sarah said, “Stop now, I have a solution:

Mom’s steamer will rid us of green pollution.”

The steamer was right there in the laundry room.

Sam said, “I’ve got this” and stepped into the gloom.
