Wandering roots

The very bottom end of the line (near the wrist) is where our instinctive roots plant us in life. If this base segment has a fork branching away from the thumb, it’s like a shoot looking for new pastures. This is called a travel line and shows a need for travel and variety.

This line is always split at the bottom when someone belongs to two cultures as in, for instance, second generation immigrants.

The opposite pattern, where the bottom of the line curls deep into the thumb ball, shows a person very much bound to their home and country, who dislikes traveling.
