Chapter 16

Nova~

I had no idea what time it was, but I didn’t care. It was enough to know that it was Sunday, and I didn’t have anything to do on any of my Sundays. I always did my best to leave my weekends open in case I wanted to visit one of the guys, but I couldn’t always get Saturdays off. However, Sundays were sacred for me, and everyone at work knew it.

There was also the fact that a pair of sexy male lips were currently kissing their way around my right hipbone. Yeah, all of my body parts felt sore, and I ached like a mofo, but I wasn’t about to tell Sebastian to stop. Last night had been the best night of my entire life, and I hadn’t ever believed that anything could top the day that I’d left my parents’ house for good.

“Don’t start something that you don’t have time to finish, Havoc,” I warned him as I rolled over, stretching awake.

I felt his warm breath on my skin as he let out a low chuckle. “Oh, I have time,” he promised. “I’ve got all the time in the world.”

“Yeah, until the season starts,” I snorted, very aware of just how busy he was going to be when the time came.

I felt Sebastian crawl up my body, and it really was unfair for him to be so damn sexy. There was so much push for women to become stronger, smarter, and more independent, but how in the hell was I supposed to be all those things when I had a gorgeous, tattooed, built, wonderful man staring down at me like I was his entire world? Fuck being independent if Sebastian Havoc was what waited for me at home each night.

Seriously.

Besides, when it was all said and done, my money, name, status, and contributions weren’t going to be holding my hand during my final hours on this planet. When I could no longer work, when I was finally ready to take a break from life and enjoy my old age, it was going to be Sebastian sitting on the couch with me or holding my hand in that hospital bed. So, by rights, my greatest accomplishment in life should be my love story, and I wasn’t embarrassed by that. I wasn’t embarrassed that it was enough for me to just be loved by someone that loved everything about me. Sebastian had been there to see my parents mistreat me and Orion, and I had seen the same by his parents. We had no secrets, and the ugly that did exist didn’t scare us.

Bracing all of his weight on his elbows, Sebastian looked down at me seriously. “Is that going to be a problem?” he asked.

My brows furrowed in a bit of confusion. “What?”

“The traveling,” he answered. “Is that going to be a problem for you?”

I eyed him. “I’m used to all of you traveling.”

“Yeah, but that was before I was your boyfriend,” he pointed out.

A huge smile graced my face.
