Tote along a vintage thermos filled with hot soup on a cool-weather nature walk…it’ll really hit the spot! Before ladling in the soup, prewarm the thermos with hot water for 10 minutes.

One-Pot Macaroni & Beef

Serves 8 to 10

1 lb. ground beef

8-oz. can tomato sauce

16-oz. pkg. pasteurized process cheese spread, diced

16-oz. pkg. medium shell pasta, cooked

Brown beef over medium heat in a large pot; drain. Add sauce, cheese and pasta. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted.

A wide roll of white freezer paper is oh-so-handy for covering picnic and party tables! Before dinner, kids can have fun drawing on it with crayons…after dinner, just toss the paper or display their masterpieces!
