Drax fired up the Blackhawk they had all climbed into. See this right here is why you have a damn pilot. Noble told himself, as he strapped himself into the seat. "D, do a fly-by over the base, and see if we can take some of those tangos out of the fight."

It pissed him off to be bailing on this fight, but seriously if the marines on base couldn't contain this uprising, then he and his team would only cause more confusion. They were in plain Cammo with no insignias. Walking his team into that clusterfuck was just asking to be shot in the ass by friendly fire. Even so, his sense of honor would not allow him to leave without a backward glance. Nope, if his guys could do anything from the bird… they would.

Max strapped himself in and ignored the pounding in his head. He heard Noble requesting that Drax patch him through to command, and Drax’s confirmation, as if through a fog. “What was the name of the nosey assed prison guard?” he asked.

"Sullivan," Zenko answered, from where he was attaching a clip to the rope on the door, to prevent falling out with any sharp movements the Helo might have to make if Drax needed to evade bullets from the ground. "Why?"

“How many privates do you know who would dare question a Commander?” Max asked. “I didn’t think even marines were that stupid.”

"What are you thinking, Max," Noble asked. But before Max could answer, Noble put one hand to the communication bud in his ear and spoke softly into the mouthpiece. Max figured he was filling command in on what was happening or maybe JSOC or the DOD.

Max opened his laptop and logged into the database that would provide him with a list of personnel on base. From there it was ridiculously easy to find a bank account. As he waited for the link to connect to the private’s bank, he silently crossed his fingers, this had to fucking work. The rhythmic sound of gunfire from either side of him told him that Zenko and Saxon were taking out tangos. He almost snorted to himself. Those orange jumpsuits would stand out like beacons. “Almost like shooting fish in a barrel.”

“Yup,” Saxon confirmed, “but am only winging them on the boss’s orders.” Max managed a smile at the disgruntlement in Saxon’s tone.

The low beep from his laptop grabbed his attention, and he turned back to the screen. After a couple of minutes, he thought he had what he was looking for.

“Brace,” Drax’s voice over the speakers, gave Max just enough time to plant his feet against the wall of the bird and fold himself over the laptop before the bird banked a hard right.

"Noble, that fucking watchtower is shooting at us. Tell those fucking dumbasses that we are the good guys," Drax roared.

“On it.” Noble passed the order on to whomever he had on the other side of the wire.

"Bingo," Max muttered to himself, he squinted his eyes for a second as he tried to figure out how he could find out who this dude was.
