CHAPTER 25

The next morning when Cate woke up, sunlight was streaming in through the huge windows.

She turned around and Kian was sat up in bed next to her, reading something on his iPad. “Hey,” he smiled softly.

“How long have you been awake?” Cate asked, stretching her arms up above her head.

“A while,” Kian said. He switched off his iPad and put it on the bedside table. “I thought I’d let you sleep in.”

He slid down under the covers and turned on his side to face her. Cate winced when she saw his cheekbone which was all kinds of purple. “I’m sorry,” she said softly, tracing the outline with the tip of her finger.

“It looks worse than it actually is,” he smiled. “You still mad at me?”

“A little,” Cate said.

She looked over at the bedside table, on which there was a glass of red-coloured liquid and two white pills.

“Cranberry juice and paracetamol,” Kian explained.

Cate sat up, quickly pulling the duvet up with her. “Why?”

“I don’t want you to be… um, sore?” Kian wouldn’t look her in the eye. “I was a bit rough with you last night.”

Cate blushed. “I kind of… I… I liked it.”

Kian raised his eyebrows, “you don’t have to say that.”

“I’m not,” Cate put her hands on the sides of his face, forcing him to look at her. “I know I’m young and um, inexperienced but if I don’t like something, I’ll tell you. You’ve got to trust that.”

Kian looked shy all of a sudden, reminding Cate of what he’d looked like when he was a boy. “Did you like it?”

Cate couldn’t keep from blushing, “I did. I’ve liked everything we’ve done together.”

“I love watching you blush,” Kian grinned proudly. He peeled back the duvet so he could watch the flush spread across her luscious breasts. “Especially here.”

“We can’t solve all of our problems with sex, you know?” Cate said, thinking back to the previous day.

“We don’t have any problems,” Kian frowned. “When it’s just you and me, it’s good.”

“Just good?” Cate teased.

Kian moved on top of her so she could feel the stiffness of his morning erection against her hip. “Oh.”

“It’s fucking fantastic,” he said, suckling on her nipple. Cate felt a rush of warmth between her legs. “That better?”

“Um, yes,” Cate wriggled against his erection.

Suddenly, Kian pulled away. “What’s wrong?” Cate asked, looking worried.

“As much as I’d like to bury myself inside your sweet pussy and I would,” he looked darkly at Cate, making her shudder. “You need to take drink your juice, take your paracetamol and then get dressed. We’ve got plans.”

“No,” Cate buried her face in the pillow. “I don’t want to go anywhere. Like you said, when it’s just you and me, it’s good. Let’s stay in bed. I’m not sore, I promise.”

Kian pulled the covers down so they were bunched up at the end of the bed. “Open your legs,” he said, kneeling up.

Cate looked at his erection, which was still thick and pressing against his stomach. She reached out and wrapped her hand around his shaft, hoping to tempt him to stay in bed.
