I

meant to go to everyone and have the same conversation I had with Pavlina, Demos, and Kimon, but Kimon wore me out, and I fell asleep until someone knocked on my door. It mortified me when I realized it was Hephaestus and Tryphon. I didn’t want them to think the same thing Kimon had, that I had made a choice.

Tryphon just glided into my bedroom and sat in a chair. He always seemed to move with this incredible grace. He was wearing one of his flowing blue robes again, and he had changed his nail polish to purple. He didn’t seem fazed at all that Kimon was naked in my bed. Neither did Hephaestus for that matter, but he was avoiding looking at Kimon, who couldn’t be bothered to cover himself up with a sheet.

“Guys, I meant to have this conversation alone with all of you, not have you find me in bed with Kimon.”

Tryphon just chuckled.

“There are still webs on your bed, and we heard about the fire in Demos’s room. Are you sure you were trying to have a conversation, my pet?”

I turned purple. I wasn’t embarrassed when they turned the hoses on us with Demos’ cock deep inside me. I thought it was pretty funny at the time. But I was super embarrassed right now.

“I still want my naked pool swim, my pet.”

Tryphon already seemed to know exactly what I intended to say, and he was okay with it. The more I thought about it, he’d been a little possessive at first, but he had probably realized my feelings and decision to stay here if they were all in on it way before I did.

“I like all of you, and I want to stay here when this is all over if you’re all okay with it. Hephaestus, I’d like you to stay here with us too. I don’t like the idea of you alone in your volcano with me here caring about you and wanting you here. I know it’s selfish and you’re probably perfectly happy there, but—”

“Yes,” Hephaestus said. “You’re cute when you get nervous and start babbling. I like it when you’re my big spoon, and I like your monsters too. When they forced Aphrodite to marry me as punishment to her, she never snuggled, and she acted like it was disgusting for me to touch her. We had sex on our wedding night, and she was so revolted by me, I never touched her again. That little trap I laid for her and Ares was less about her cheating on me and more about how she treated me like I was totally beneath her. You don’t look at me like that, and none of your friends do either.”

“You can fuck me any day of the week, and I’ll be totally down with it,” I blurted out.

What was it about Hephaestus that turned my brain to mouth filter completely off? Honestly, I was shocked he didn’t kick me the fuck out of his volcano when I commented on his looks after being told not to.
