Chapter Ten

Thirty minutes is all it took for him to fill Juniper in on all the board members, their names, rolls, and what she needed to say once they arrived at headquarters.

He stood and refilled their mugs, but more to stretch his legs than anything else. He couldn’t wait till they landed. This close to Juniper for so many hours was playing havoc on his control. More than once he wanted to pull the enchanting woman into his arms, kiss the ever-loving hell out of her and make them both lust drunk happy mile-high members.

He gulped down a good mouthful of coffee, refilled and returned to the cabin where her perfume permeated every inch of the recycled air.

“Thank you,” she said as she took the offered mug. Her delicate fingers brushed against his and every vein, red blood cell and nerve ending in his body fired to life and every damn one of them led to his dick.

He could easily imagine what her body would feel like wrapped around him as he plunged between her perfect thighs.

Damn everything was perfect about her. Even her fiery temper. It might make him a bastard in thinking so, but seeing her mad, worked up and ready to deck someone made his cock harder than nails.

Her face turned a delicate shade of red and she couldn’t look more beautiful. Well, truth be told, having her flushed and coming, now that would be a sight he could go for.

But Juniper was off-limits to him.

A series of unfortunate events would unfold otherwise. He could see it like a motion picture in his head.

If he screwed the wedding planner, the wedding planner would leave and everything he had worked for up till this moment would go down the drain. Besides what could he give her beyond a few stolen moments here and there? His life was all about work right now and long into the foreseeable future.

No, he would keep his hard, starving dick in his pants where the fucker belonged and his hands off every delicious curve belonging to one Juniper Winter.

She glided to her feet as he lowered into the nearby couch.

“What are you doing?”

She came to stop by his side, a curious, devilish smile across her face.

“There’s something you need to know about me, Mr. Blackwood.”

He cleared his throat immediately intrigued by where this was going. “Marshall,” he corrected her. “And what would that be, Juniper?” he husked low, moving an arm to rest over the back of the couch.

“That I get what I want too. And up till now, I think I’ve earned a little treat.”

She settled over his lap and his arms automatically went around her.

Heat infused her expression and her eyes lit with something he’d only fantasized seeing in those pretty depths.

Lust. For him.

“Now that I know you don’t belong to anyone. I.Want.You. And by the way, you’re drinking me in like I’m your favorite beverage, I’m going to say you want the same.”

He had been wrong. Seeing her flushed was not the most beautiful sight.
