Sean was sitting in the lion realm with Estrella, Roxy, and Peg in attendance. The First and his wives were all there, and a surprisingly large number of lions sitting around as well.

When Rose reincarnated, she got up carefully, looked around, and then suddenly Cali was behind her with a hell of a big hammer she used to bludgeon Rose so hard, her body was actually knocked back a good ten feet each time she was hit.

No sooner did she get to her feet than she'd be hit again. Her cries for help and forgiveness again fell on deaf ears, as did her cries of pain each time she was walloped. When the First finally opened a gateway, Cali sent her flying through it, then immediately disappeared.

Roxy, Peg, and Estrella left immediately, but Sean waited a moment before going to watch Cali take Rose apart a second time.

"Let this be a lesson to you all," the First growled, looking around the assembled lions and lionesses. "I will always find a way to make you suffer if you displease me, and I will always find ways to torture you if you disobey me.

"But if I find out you've been taking advantage of and hurting one of our own? Especially a child? Trust me when I say, you are going to spend a long time in hell before I will forgive you."

Sean woke up and sat up just in time to see Cali crush Rose's head with Daelyn's hammer, killing her.

"Thanks, Dae!" Cali said with a smile as she returned Daelyn's hammer to her.

"Oh, think nuthin' of it, love! The pleasure was all mine! In fact, you don't think maybe one of these times I could do the honors?"

Cali stopped, thought a moment, then smiled. "I'd like that, Dae, I truly would."

Sean made sure not to laugh. Only his wives could turn murder and revenge into a bonding moment. He was sure that eventually they'd all want a turn at 'killing' Rose. Well, maybe not Jolene or Roberta. They really weren't into physical violence. Though that didn't mean they wouldn't help or they disapproved.

"How is Mike doing?" Jo asked, coming over to him as they walked back inside. Someone else would deal with the body for them.

Sean shook his head. "No idea. He hasn't used his credit card since, and while I'm going over the intelligence reports from Bartertown, I haven't seen anything mentioned that could be attributed to him. Both Peg and Cali are keeping an eye on it."

"What about Sawyer?"

Sean snorted. "If I told Sawyer Mike was up there working through some problems, he'd probably send a dozen goblins to watch over him. Making Sawyer Mike's godfather was both the best and worst decision I ever made."

Jo laughed. "Oh, I don't know. I don't think he'd go that overboard. He definitely wants to see Mike learn to stand on his own feet and handle his own problems."

"Yeah, but he'd happily give Mike a nuclear bomb and teach him how to use it to solve all his problems.
