Using AutoFilters

In a previous section, we saw that we can filter our task and resource views by using filters to limit the information that is displayed. You can also apply an AutoFilter to a view. When the AutoFilter feature is enabled, drop-down arrows appear at each column heading, allowing you to filter by more than one field. Clicking on an AutoFilter arrow displays a list of fields by which you can sort. In addition to the predefined fields, you can create your own custom fields for sorting. For instance, you can specify that only tasks that fall between a specific date range are displayed.
