The coupés always looked good in red, and even the slightly darker flank protection panels did not detract from the overall effect. The bright highlights on those panels also helped the coupés look longer. This is one of the new 300CE-24 models.

The contrasting colours of the flank panels could produce some odd effects, which were not to everybody’s taste. This is a US-model 300CE, in reality a 300CE-24. The window surrounds, normally in bright metal, have been finished in black – a special-order option.
