We have an Iowa GIS clearinghouse where anybody can share knowledgeâmaps, physical documents, hard dataâin a PDS format. But it is underutilized. When I need to know how to do something I know whom to contact thanks to Iowa Geographic. Knowledge is transmitted through interpersonal contacts and lots of presentations at our meetings. We donât write it up . . . itâs just there . . . it is more of a technical sharing at the point of use as a result of Iowa Geographic connections.
