Misha examined his naked body in front of the three cheval mirrors in his dressing room, twisting this way and that to view it at all angles. “I look pregnant,” he complained. “I’m two months along. I should barely show, yet it’s like I’m at six months with a Disgrace. Eto pizdets. ”

Reynard kissed his bare shoulder. “Any omega you bear me would be no disgrace. I will not throw away any of your children. I will cherish them all. Every last one. Whether they have scales or not.”

A pain both sweet and bitter tore through Misha’s heart.

“You swear it? On your honor? On your hoard?”

Reynard embraced Misha from behind and laid his hands on his swollen belly. “I swear it on every single thing I have ever held dear.”

Misha spun in Reynard’s arms until he faced his dragon.

“Ya tebya lyublyu. ”

“I love you, too. And our children.”

Misha raised a brow. “They aren’t even hatched yet.”

“Yes, love. Even now. Come to bed. It’s late.”

Misha turned back to the mirrors and pouted. “I’m so fat I can’t see my own dick.”

Reynard’s hands slid over Misha’s belly then drifted lower.

“Drakon, what are you doing?”

Reynard chuckled. “Making sure your dick is still there.

I’d miss it if it were gone.”

That made Misha groan. “If I can’t see my cock, how can I fuck you with it?”

“There are other things we can do, Misha. May I show you? Please, Sir?”

Being called Sir never failed to make Misha horny as hell.

“I suppose,” he allowed. “It’s the least you can do.”

“Indeed,” Reynard said. Behind him in the mirrors, Reynard wore a smile of dragony smugness.

It was, Misha decided, a good look.

Misha was quite happily in the midst of ordering several Attendants about as they arranged his nest to his specifications when he felt Reynard come up behind him and place something on his head.

“What is this, drakon? ” Misha’s hand flew to his head and touched the heavy object. “Is that a tiara? I am not your princess!”

Reynard kissed the spot behind Misha’s ear that always made him melt with pleasure. “Certainly not. And it’s a diadem, love, not a tiara. Come see.”

Misha followed Reynard to a nearby gilt mirror. It was a new addition to the room Misha had chosen to nest in, and was positioned in a manner that would double the afternoon sunlight in the room. There, he looked upon the diadem. It was made of gold with fine narrow tines that were mostly hidden behind hundreds of brilliant diamonds. Golden leaves and small, budded flowers that held diamonds at their core had been artfully woven into the piece to add intrigue. Misha lifted his chin and smiled. The light refracted by the diadem shone in his pale hair with the icy brilliance of shining sun on new snow.

“It’s beautiful,” Misha breathed. “Where did you get it?”

“The same place I got these.” Reynard slipped a showy diamond-encrusted bracelet onto Misha’s wrist, then pinned an even gaudier broach to the lapel of his powder-blue silk robe.
