“Father let me take the carriage out today. It is a beautiful spring Saturday and I told him I wished to go on a picnic in the square. I’m not sure which square she is talking about.” Soren interjected. He and Mother did not join me as Mother’s spring time cold has flared up this morning. She has spent the last three days sneezing. Poor thing.

I had Ms. Cook prepare lunch for me and I am certain she made enough to feed half of Savannah. Imagine my surprise and delight when I ran into Nina P. on Habersham Street enjoying the day on foot. I invited her to share my carriage and my lunch and she was much obliged. I had a hard time managing the horses and am obliged to say that it is fortunate that they know the way to the square as I could not take my eyes off Nina. She is heartbreakingly beautiful in my eyes, especially when she speaks about her students. Her eyes light up and I believe I could spend the rest of my life listening to her speak. How very odd!
