A young mother is walking down the street carrying her baby. It looks like the baby is no more than a few months old. There’s so much all around for it to look at that its big glittering eyes turn this way and that. Everything must be so new and intriguing. The baby looks exactly like a cherub from a painting by Raphael. While I walked behind them the baby made eye contact with me, so I waved. Before I knew it, I was making sounds and silly faces and the baby was wriggling with glee. I walked like that for a long time. As soon as I got home, I asked Grandpa to draw it for me: a baby like an angel.
