God is present in every part of our lives—equally. Every part of a believer’s life is sacred. We might work with people who have a secular mind-set, but it is not a secular job for us. For us, all of life is “holy ground.”

Work is your place of ministry and serving God.

Ministry is a very misunderstood word. So many associate it with a religious profession rather than its root meaning of “service.” Others associate the word with certain spiritual activities such as Bible study, helping the poor, or teaching a class at church. Consider how Paul addressed the issue of work:

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

1 THESSALONIANS 4:11-12, NIV
