Knit all stitches for size extra large only. For size large, omit stitches 1 and 37. For size small/medium, omit stitches 1, 2, 36 and 37.

With smaller needles and CC, CO 69 (75, 78) sts. Join in a rnd, being careful not to twist sts. Work in k2, p1 rib as follows:

With CC, 1 rnd.

With MC, 9 rnds.

With CC, 2 rnds.

With MC, 2 rnds.

With CC, 3 rnds.

Change to larger needles and knit 1 rnd in CC, inc 1 (0, 0) st evenly, and dec 0 (1, 0) sts — 70 (74, 78) sts.

Rnd 1: *With CC, k1, work Pattern Chart (page 56) across 33 (35, 37) sts, with CC, k1; rep from * once to complete rnd. Cont as established until piece measures 8″ (20.5cm). Finish Sock as for Knee-High from Heel Flap to Finishing.
