CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Rounding this group up for their next meeting was as easy as faking an orgasm. They decided to meet in another motel, this time in Carlsbad, about 25 miles north of San Diego and not too far from Oceanside where they had met the first time. Helen registered under a phony name using cash. They all agreed complete privacy at this point in the plan was the only way to go. They would take no chances.

There they were, dressed in their worst clothes so they wouldn't be recognized. The FORCE came well prepared for this meeting. Schedules in hand, they all squeezed next to the tiny Formica kitchenette table.

"We're not going to have to smoke those frigging cigars again are we?" Melinda asked as the ladies decided they were a little too close to Melinda's loud voice and edged away from the table.

"No, No, nothing like that today. Say did any of you bring any condoms with you?" Helen said in a teasing sort of way. "I thought it might be fun to fill them up with water and toss them at each other."

"Oh God, here we go again," Melinda complained. The rest of the group groaned.

"Just kidding. Really--just kidding," said Helen.

Helen looked around the room and could tell that everyone was anxious to share their husband's schedules. "I'll start. Richard for sure will be in town the week of November 6th. The week of the 13th is out," said Helen.

"As you know Anthony is almost always in town. However he's off to some AMA conference next week, or so he says," Sandra said sarcastically.

"What week is that?” Carol asked. "Ted is back from Thailand around the 21st of November. He's here for a week and then it's back to his Asian whore again," Carol said with a matter-of-fact grimace.

"Let's see. Brian should also be in town most of the month. I don't see any conflicts on his calendar," Sally added her facts to the plot.

Melinda studied her calendar, "George Joseph and I are off to Detroit for about ten days. There is some house in a ghetto area that he's giving away. Or I should say he's given enough money away so we'll get the royal treatment. They are calling it the "George Joseph Howard Half-Way House" or something like that. Then we come back to La Jolla for about a week and then head out to Scottsdale to look at some--well according to him--some 'hot' raw land where they are going to build a golf course for some fancy shmancy new country club. Jesus, from what I can tell they need another golf course in Scottsdale like I need..."

Helen interrupted her, "When are you going to Scottsdale and how are you getting there?" Helen seemed to have an idea brewing.

"Flying of course. That's such a boring drive in a car through all of that desert crap. I know some people can't get enough of the desert. But, it puts me to sleep."

"Flying. How?" Helen quizzed back rapidly.

"Why George Joseph is.
