Satan is Crafty

If you’ve got a weak spot, satan will find it. It’s like picking the right lure when you’re after fish.

We used to take our kids fishing when they were small. We had this one lure that looked like a shiny little silver fish. It had two hooks on it. As soon as you cast it, a fish would “strike,” almost before it hit the water. Even our (at that time) four-year-old daughter was pulling in fish right and left and sometimes catching two at a time. With this perfect lure, we were fishing like pros.

Satan knows the lure for you. He knows where you are growing strong and he knows where you still are weak. He will provide the lures to draw you into trouble through those weaknesses. Eve wanted more even though God had given her and Adam a whole garden, His company, and permission to do about anything they wished, but eat from one tree in the center of the garden. She wanted more. Her thinking was flawed and she lacked gratitude.
