I hear Juan say, ‘Oh’ and look over just in time to see him get hit upside the head by some man at the door. He crumples to the floor of the cabin in a heap, doesn’t move. That’s when I scream.

He gets up close to me and right away I smell the stench coming from him. Has this man bathed all year! Then that smile of his comes back…sending shivers down my spine. The look he’s giving me…I’ve seen it many times before on men. I know exactly what he’s thinking – he wants to fuck me.

I make to get up from the bed but one of his greasy hands comes out quickly, pushes me back down to the bed.

“No!” I shout loudly, hoping it might wake up Juan…but he’s on the floor, out cold.

“Shut the fuck up, dearie!” the man shouts at me. “You might not like this, but I sure will!”

My eyes go wide at his words and I want to scream again, but before I can he pins my wrists to the bed, jumps up onto it, too, so he’s on top of me. He stares down with that ugly and scarred face, smiles with those black teeth of his. God, his breath is atrocious! I nearly gag as a whiff of it fills my nostrils.

I know he’s going to rape me. I can see it in his eyes. Juan is lying on the floor, totally out of it. There’s no one here to help me. I’m totally fucked. And I can tell by the strength of him pinning me down that there’s no way in hell I can fight him off.
