Aloe Vera

This plant is often referred to as the medicine plant because of its healing sap. It is still used to treat wounds and sunburn as it has been for centuries. It does have sharp “teeth” along the leaves so you will want to place it where people cannot brush up against it.

You should allow the soil to dry out completely and the give it a good soaking, but, do not let it stand in water. This plant needs to be in direct sunlight or at minimum in the most light possible. Fertilize this medicinal plant four times during the summer and always avoid fertilizing during the winter.
