I looked at the GPS screen to see if I was going the right way. I had been to Atlanta plenty of times, but I didn’t know my way around like that. I had just landed here two hours ago, and I wasn’t there on no chill out type of shit. I didn’t even book a hotel room because once I got shit situated, I was hopping right back on the plane.

“Make a left, destination is 100 feet away.”

I did what the GPS said and it led me to a red brick house. A white BMW with pink rims was parked in the driveway. I turned off my car and stepped out. I walked up the stairs and rang the doorbell. A few minutes later the door opened, and there stood Taffy with a surprised look on her face. She was still deliciously thick, but she no longer wore the pink and red weave like she used to. Now her hair was sandy brown and at least twenty six inches.

“Don’t look surprised, bitch, like you didn’t know I was going to show up here.” I said to her.

“I didn’t think you would have my address, just come in.”

I walked in and looked around her front room. It felt like I had walked in a fucking high school Valentine’s Day dance. She had hearts and pink, red and white everywhere. Damn did she live with Cupid?

“Have a seat. Do you want something to drink?” She grabbed a bottle of Rose and two glasses. “Yeah, I’ll take a glass. Now, what the hell is going on, Taffy? I don’t hear from you in like two years then you pop back up with a baby you’re claiming to be my husband’s?”

Taffy handed me my glass and sat down on the couch next to me.

“Izzy, the time me and Jashawn fucked he came up to my job at Sin. The Bulls was playing against the Hawks, and he won that game that night. He cashed me out all night and popped bottles like crazy. We ended up back at his hotel, we did use a condom, but some way, somehow it broke. I kept my pregnancy hidden, but Jashawn knew all about it. I sent him ultrasounds and all that. He made me mad when he started dissing my son and stopped doing for him. Jashawn paid for this house and my car outside. As long as I kept my mouth shut, he was giving me whatever I wanted.”

I felt so stupid as I sat there listening to her. All this time I was defending Jashawn because I thought he was just caught up by the booty, but he was playing daddy all along to her kid. He knew about the baby, but I didn’t. I was a fool, a fucking fool for Jashawn Murphy.

“Can I see the baby? I still need a DNA test.”

“I’ll go get him.”

Taffy got up and walked towards the back of her house. She returned with a chubby curly haired little boy.
