Seriously? Living vicariously through the planning of it for someone else? Holy gods. What in the hell am I doing? Rand scolded himself for sounding like an article in Psychology Today or a line in a movie script. He hadn't anticipated finding such a fucking cute interviewer while he was on his job search. Seeing this guy had really thrown him off his game. And he seems like a nice guy too.

Since the episode with Sam, everything in his life had changed and coming to a new town to take a different career and life path represented the final step. "Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not going to have the cops raid the joint and take you away in cuffs, though I'm sure you'll understand we have to do a background check before you are officially hired." Cheyenne leaned forward and placed his hands on the desk, threading his fingers together and showing a broad, sincere smile.

Rand first noticed the man's good looks when he smiled and showed that little twinkle in his eye. Then his gaze dropped and Rand noticed he had long, thick fingers—unusual for the man's physique. He wondered if the old suggestion about a man's fingers giving you an indication of the size of his member held any truth. If it did, Rand's interest in this job just increased several times over.

But is he interested in men? Rand decided he had to know. If Cheyenne was attracted to women, then working here would be near to being in the seventh circle of hell. Being close to the man and wanting something he couldn't have didn't seem worth the effort—career be damned. If Cheyenne showed interest, then this job had to be his.

Rand got up and casually walked over to the brochure rack to give the man an opportunity to see him completely again. Rand had the goods and he needed to see if he could catch a clue to the manager's level of interest.

"Sure, no problem with a background check. Who knows what interesting adventures you'll uncover." Rand turned to Cheyenne and gave him a mischievous grin and a wink, just to set the stage for his exploration into Cheyenne's reactions.

"There are some great destinations here. Have you been to many of these places—and does this job come with any discount or other travel benefits?"
