âGirls, how about a game of Skee-Ball?â Faith asked.
Ryah was the first to rise from her chair. âSounds good.â
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
ROCCO
TWO HOURS LATER, RYAH and I rode to my house mainly in silence. The girls kept to themselves the rest of the time at the arcade. Me and the guys did the same.
Ryah was bitter because she knew Iâd go after Bosco.
âMaybe you should take me home now, Rocco.â Ryah stared out the window.
âYeah, wonât happen.â
âWhat are you going to do to Bosco?â
The garage door opened, and I drove inside. I threw the car in park. âCome on, Princess.â
âNo.â
Stubborn Ryah. Running my fingers through my hair, I strolled to the other side of the car. I yanked the door open.
She crossed her arms over her chest. Fury danced in her green eyes. I leaned over and unbuckled her seatbelt.
âPromise you wonât end him.â
I grabbed her arm, threw her over my shoulder, then I slammed the car door.
âPut me down, Rocco.â Her fists slammed against my muscled back. It was cute. Felt like love taps.
Stepping into the kitchen, I hit the garage door button. I heard a light thud as I slammed the kitchen door. A light breeze swept under my shirt, then a burning sensation. The pretty monster twisted my skin.
âRyah, what the fuck?â I stalked into the living room and dropped her on the sofa.
âIâm telling Smitty Iâm ready to go.â
I snatched her phone out of her hand and placed it on the table. âFine, weâll talk.â I held my hands tight on my head, staring down at her. Ryah sat on the sofa, lips tight. Her gaze didnât meet mine.
âIf you remember, I told him we were together. That fucker came to my partyââ
Calm down, Rocco.
âHe and Gian were there to discuss business with me. That asshole sought you out instead of meeting with us. He hugged you and then planted his lips on your face.â I sat on the slate gray stone coffee table and yanked her legs open.
âYouâre my woman. I should cut his fucking lips off of his face. You know he disrespected our relationship.â
âRocco, I told him I chose you. And that Iâll always stand by my man.â
Her hands caressed mine. âRocco, forget about, Bosco.â
âRyah, I canât do that.â
She fell back against the sofa, gripping her curls. I grabbed her thighs and pulled her into my arms as I rose.
âWas it a mistake that I gave into my feelings for you? I couldâve been with another guy.â
She applied weight to my shoulders, trying to break free.
I strolled up the wide staircase. âSure, you could have. But we wouldâve been together, eventually. Iâm not jealous of Bosco. I just hate being disrespected.â
âI hate I came between you two.â
Once over the threshold, I slammed the door shut and locked it.
What could I say to that? In a way, she did. Would Bosco and I ever have a friendship again? I didnât know and didnât give a fuck.
I tossed her on the bed. Her brows lowered as she peered at me.
