Roaring laughter can be heard throughout the clubhouse as we women furiously work to get this insurmountable feast ready for Thanksgiving day.

“Dear Lord, what are those fools up to now?” Shara asks as she glances around at us.

“With them, who knows,” Bella states as she sits idly by watching and listening to us. She was hurt recently and we each refused to let her stand on her feet for a long period of time, instead, she’s sitting at the kitchen table peeling potatoes. Unhappily I might add. Her knuckles have turned white with the grip she has on the peeler. The poor potatoes will be mashed at this rate before they even make it into the pot of boiling water. Today is just prep day, but we may need to add another one to it if she’s responsible for the task.

Time marches on as we continue to prep. We laugh, tell jokes, reminisce about things we’ve all been through with our men. We forget about the slamming door leading outside, we don’t give another thought to the uproarious laughter that followed an hour earlier. It’s not until we hear a bike roar up, doors slamming and the men hooting and howling that our attention is captured.

“What in the world?” I ask no one in particular as I head out of the kitchen, but what I come across has me stopping dead in my tracks. “Oh. My. God!” I scream out and hear curious women following me as their feet trail behind me.

“Is that my dress?” Bella hollers as her hand comes up and cups her mouth.

“Holy s-shit,” Harmony stutters out as her shocked look lands on her father’s dressed up form.

“Is he… holy fuck, he’s wearing Bella’s dress!” Shara announces as if we don’t have eyes of our own.

“No shit.” Harlee giggles which becomes contagious and has us all bowed over with hilarity.

“Fucking hell, is he wearing makeup?” Aria questions which causes us all to stop and take a closer look.

“I don’t even wanna know how he is knowledgeable in applying mascara, eyeshadow and lip balm,” Harmony states while shaking her head in dismay.

“At least he didn’t try to shove his big ass feet into my heels,” Bella speaks out. All of our eyes travel down to his feet and see that he’s wearing his biker boots with a bright yellow sundress.

“We need pictures!” Fox yells out as Rogue curses him up one side and down the other.

“No pictures,” Rogue growls out as he squints his eyes in Fox’s direction.

“Oh, yes we are. We need visual proof of this,” Bella interjects with a smile plastered on her face.

“I’ve got a dozen or so already,” Harlee informs us as she too has a smile spread wide on her face.

“I’m gonna burn that damn phone,” Rogue announces as he shoots Harlee a disapproving look. “Later.”

“Never,” I state as I reach over and hold my sister’s hand in mine, showing unity.

“Whatever,” Rogue whispers underneath his breath as he marches behind the bar and grabs a bottle of Jack Daniels.
