Chloe disappeared into Eva’s room and returned in no time with a handful of square packets. She closed and locked her door, then flashed a quick grin as she hurried past me to dump them on her bedside table. Before she could turn around, I wrapped my arm around her waist and hauled her against my chest.

She stilled and her hands landed on my forearm where it crossed in front of her. “I’m glad you changed your mind,” she whispered into the dark.

“Me too.”

Now that I’d tasted Chloe, there was no going back. The need for her sang in my blood, demanding I take what she offered with the delicate shudder across her back. I kissed her shoulder and swiveled her to face the bed.

“You’re so beautiful,” I breathed into her hair, pulling it to the side. “Do you trust me?”

“Yes.”

She answered without hesitation, completely willing to follow my lead. Her immediate submission made me let out a shallow breath. I was holding onto my control by my fingertips. Chloe’s personality was so big I sometimes forgot how small she was compared to me. I could easily break her in half if I was careless.

As if she could read my mind, she reached up and pulled my head down for a kiss. “I’m not afraid of you. I like everything you do to me, Noah.”

Her words banished the last of my doubts. I quickly sheathed myself with a condom and gripped the back of her neck, urging her upper body down onto the bed. She twisted her head to send me a wicked smile over her shoulder. A buzz of excitement started at the base of my spine and spread through my body.
