What you’ll need

Laser printed images

4.8cm (13⁄4in) clear packaging tape

Burnishing tool

Craft knife

Ruler

Bowl with water

Various sized glasses or containers

Washi tape

1. Print your laser images onto A4 (US Letter) sheets of standard copier paper.

2. Take strips of packaging tape and stick them down over the top of the laser image. Smooth the tape down using your hand, flip the paper over and vigorously rub over the back of the paper using a burnishing tool.

3. Turn the paper back so that the image faces upwards. Use your craft knife and ruler to cut along the edges of the image, trimming off all the excess paper and tape.

4. Submerge the strips in a bowl of water, not too many at a time, and allow to soak.

5. Once the paper is nice and wet start rubbing at it to remove the paper backing. Continue doing this until there is no more paper residue.

6. Lay the wet strip of tape face (glossy side) down onto a flat surface and allow to dry.

7. Once dried the strips should still have enough glue on the back in order to stick to the glass, if not simply use some podge. Tape your images onto the glass and cut to size if needed.

8. Finally decorate the edges with some fun washi tape.

Good idea: Create a hanging lantern by attaching some wire to the rim of the glass container.
