All plants are designed to absorb the most important spectra of light for them to grow and bloom. Most plants look green because it is the brightest reflected light that appears to the naked eye at 550-nanometer wavelength. Therefore, green spectrum plays very little role in photosynthesis, because it just bounces off of the leaves and stems. This could also suggest that no matter how bright your grow lamp is, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your plant is able to absorb as much of the spectrum of light it needs for photosynthesis.
