I stayed in bed with Naddy after Austin got up and got Landon breakfast. I didn’t bother to help because I knew the other man wouldn’t be staying. He got a call from his attorney and while he didn’t go into the details, I heard most of it on the way to meet Vaughn and my parents at a house. They had found Lauren. I figured this meeting would be the deciding factor on what would happen with Landon.

He didn’t say what he wanted to do. I could guess. But I wasn’t going to call out my boy playing mommy. After having Naddy’s mom call me out for not helping I knew it would be counterproductive.

It made me feel like a shitty friend. They already called me the bad influence and I wasn’t so sure they were wrong. I always thought my ideas were great. Look at where they led us. Could Vaughn or Austin really complain?

I shifted onto my side, eyeing Naddy where she slept. What were Vaughn’s chances with this if it hadn’t been for me? I had my doubts that she would’ve given me a chance if it weren’t for Austin. He was really the bad influence here.

Her lashes fanned out against her cheeks, shifting slightly as she slept. She wasn’t snoring like usual, giving me a clue that it probably was long before she would wake up. She had one arm twisted up and over her head, while the other flailed out to one side like she was aware there were people missing from the bed.

I leaned into her. Taking in her scent and enjoying the feel of her soft body against mine. This was my favorite way to wake up. There wasn’t any snark coming at me, no grumpy noises, just her deep breaths and her warm body.

I brushed my fingers against her cheek, being careful to be as light as possible. I couldn’t lay here without touching her. Her lashes fluttered and she stretched, arching up so the sheet that was bunched around her breasts. It made me wish she wasn’t wearing the shirt she was sleeping in.

She squinted at me before reaching up to curl her fingers through my hair. She snagged a knot tugging my hair gently before the strands gave way. I melted against her, nuzzling her cheek before I followed it down to her ear. She hummed and turned to me, her other arm curling around my side. She rubbed my back gently even as she kept combing her fingers through my hair.

I closed my eyes and just let her pet me. I didn’t resist the temptation of nibbling at her ear. When her head tilted, I followed the motion, kissing my way down her throat. I didn’t intend to do this, I wasn’t going for this but if she wasn’t going to stop me I wouldn’t object to morning sex.

I tugged the collar of her shirt down so I could get access to more skin. She made a noise, something low in her throat.
