“So, how many guys have you been with?” I ask casually while taking a bite of my noodles while we sit next to each other at the kitchen island.

Ally cocks her head to the side while swallowing her own food. “Oh, so now that you’ve seen me naked, you think that means you can get personal?”

“Correction.” I point my chopsticks in her direction. “We’ve been dirty, but I haven’t actually seen you completely naked. Which, by the way, is going to change really soon.” I waggle my brows.

She lets out a breathless giggle, rolling her eyes. “Let me rephrase that. So, now that we’ve had sex, you think that means you can get personal?”

“Well, yeah.”

She mulls over that for a moment. “I’ll only answer if you tell me how many women you’ve slept with.”

Oh, she’s the devil.

“I would, if I knew,” I tell her, unable to lie.

I mean, there’s no point in trying to sweep it under the carpet. She knows I had a reputation with women; it’s the reason she fought so hard against me for so long.

She clucks her tongue. “What do you mean, you would, if you knew?” This must be a rhetorical question, as she doesn’t give me a chance to answer before speaking again, “Have you slept with that many women that you’ve lost count?”

“In a nutshell, yeah.” I frown, realizing how bad that actually sounds. “Wow, that doesn’t make me come off too well, does it?”

“Nope,” she says before taking a bite of her lo mein.

I let out a light chuckle as I dig in my carton for a piece of chicken. “No wonder you hated me at first.”

“You were so arrogant. I really just wanted to kick you in your balls…but you improved a little, over time.”

“Just a little?”

“Well, you know the saying, Rome wasn’t built in a day?”

“Yeah,” I say, squinting in confusion.

“Well, it took some time and a lot of patience to tolerate you. That, and you slowly wore me down.”

“That’s because I never give up on the things I really want, and if I haven’t made things clear enough, I want you.”

Her eyes flutter at my words, and I don’t miss the way her chest contracts, as if her heart had missed a beat. She inches in closer, her crossed leg brushing against mine.

“Why is it, when you say things like that, it makes me want to strip off my clothes and let you do whatever you want to me?” she whispers, making goose bumps erupt along every inch of my skin.

Dropping my chopsticks to the counter, I lean in even closer, a smile plastered on my lips. “Because you want me, too.”

Her eyes flicker down to my mouth, a slight curve to her lips. Her eyes continue moving over my face before she grips hold of the side of my face. “Damn you,” she whispers before slamming her lips to mine.

I smile around her kiss, bringing her into my arms as we deepen our connection. She stands from her seat, stepping in between my legs.
