Chapter 13

Once Ted was home, he tried to put his feelings about relationships aside. For the rest of the summer he concentrated on his new role as a porn star and on his clients, of which there never seemed to be a shortage, especially once his videos started appearing on the Morrison Porno site.

He had finished four videos already and he was beginning to see they were pretty much of a formula with very little creativity involved. Only the settings seemed to change. Otherwise it was boy meets boy, boy finds other boy hot, they get it on. They would suck, fuck, and cum for the camera. That was the norm. Sometimes they’d kiss. When that happened and the so-called plot had a romantic side to it, he could get into the role more. This was a double-edged sword—on the one hand Ted could do a better acting job, on the other he was left feeling empty as the emotion he was expressing was only pretend and usually with a stranger to boot.

When Ted was notified Trace had planned on two videos with Chris as Ted’s co-star, he went immediately to Chris’s photo studio. Chris was in the middle of a shoot with a new hire.

“Hi, Ted,” Chris said casually, as if greeting an old friend. “Good to see you. Haven’t seen you in a while. How are things going?” He went back to adjusting his light reflectors.

Ted ignored the greeting. “We need to talk!”

“Sure. What’s on your mind?” Chris asked without turning around.

“In private!” Ted said, nodding in the direction of the nearly naked young man in a thong sitting on an oversized beach ball with his legs spread, his generous basket in high relief.

Chris sighed. “Relax, Hank, I’ll be back in a jiffy. Work on keeping that package of yours fluffed while I’m gone.” He chuckled.

Chris led Ted back into the wardrobe area. Memories of the first time Chris had brought him here flashed through Ted’s mind and fueled his anger.

“Did you get the shooting schedule for this month?” Ted demanded.

“Yep, looks like we’ll be working together again. That why you’re here? Want to rehearse a little?” Chris smiled and put an arm around Ted’s shoulder.

Ted pushed it off. “Yes, that’s why I’m here but not to rehearse. I can’t…won’t do the videos with you!”

Chris got serious. “I don’t think you have a choice. You know Trace, once he gets an idea, he’s pretty determined.”

“You’ve got to do something! I mean it. I won’t do a video with you!” Ted said, trying to keep his voice down. “Can’t you talk to Trace? You know him better than I do.”

“Don’t get your panties in a bunch. If you want out of them so bad, you go talk to Trace yourself. I’m not going to risk getting on the bad side of him.”

Ted stood looking at Chris, not knowing what to say, only feeling more frustrated.

“Look, I’m sorry things ended the way they did with us,” Chris said in a conciliatory tone.
