We’re waiting backstage when the band plays their last notes to the crowd’s wild applause. Chance is leaning up against the wall next to me, his nose trailing up my neck. He’s been awfully damn cuddly since he saved me then fucked me, and I’m not sure the guys are going to appreciate that. My nerves are on edge, waiting for them to walk out.

We have our first real lead, and now I have backup I know I can count on in a pinch. What else does a deadly omega need? Oh, right. Three possessive alphas with their knots that are definitely going to be in a twist when they find out what happened tonight—both the sex and the whole trafficking ring thing.

Chance and I have gone back and forth on whether we tell them or keep it to ourselves. He finally convinced me that keeping it from them could put them in danger considering their label is involved. That was all it took.

And he’s right. The Syndicate called Chance and explained that Raphael Montoya has gone underground. He’s taken a personal leave from the label, and they’ve assigned another exec. We don’t know how deep the treachery goes, so there’s no way we can trust anyone they assign.

The guys will find out from Sebastian either tonight or tomorrow morning when the label fills him in, and I need to be there to see his expression because it’s not just Raphael we have to worry about. Raphael has someone close on the payroll—running things behind the scenes—which means everyone is a suspect.

Chance straightens beside me, and I hear the growl before I see the alpha responsible.

“Aren’t you two cozy.” Felix glares at my beta.

Redirecting his attention, I ask, “You all heading back to the bus?”

His eyes go wide. “Are you not?”

Anson lightly punches Felix’s arm before turning to me. “Of course she is. Aren’t you, baby girl?”

I nod, feeling the tension between Felix and me rise.

“We were hoping to talk with all of you actually,” Chance finally speaks up, and I can feel his stare.

“Talk? About what?” Wren asks, glancing between the two of us with a nervous look in his eye.

“Let’s wait until we’re alone—”

“Why, sunshine? So we don’t make a scene when you tell us you’re leaving us for him?”

“Felix, that’s not—”

“Fuck it. Might as well get it over with so we can start mending the broken fucking hearts you’re about to rip out of our chests.”

He spins on his heel, stalking toward the door. I roll my eyes.

“You’ve always been a fucking drama king, Felix!” I call out to his back.

He growls but doesn’t turn around.

“He’s just blowing off steam, baby girl,” Anson whispers, combing his fingers through my hair. His eyes narrow when I grimace, my scalp stinging from Two’s rough tug. “I think we need to have that talk. Now.”

There’s an urgency in his voice now that he’s started to realize something is wrong. He’s always seen more than the other two.

“Fallon,” Wren begins, shoulders bunching under the weight of his worry.
