Chapter Fourteen
In a perfect world, our plan to run off like my brother wouldâve worked. Weâd be somewhere on an island far away, far from the clutches of my father and the familia. But like always, life was a giant cock fucking me in the ass.
The second we stepped off the plane, I saw him. There was no hidingâno running away. Not when Julio Santoyo himself was standing next to a car parked two feet from the airplane. He was surrounded by five of his best men, all of them waiting on us.
âThere he is!â my father bellowed; a strange unwelcomed happiness laced in his words. He spoke those three words like he was excited to see me, but that could only mean one thing⦠he wanted something, something that brought him out of the safety of his compound and straight to the airport to pick us up.
Esme clutched my hand, tiny shivers quivering through her tiny frame. She immediately hid behind her hair, shielding her scar from my fatherâs line of vision. It was what she always did whenever she was out in public, making sure her massive black locks concealed the one part of her she was afraid of people seeing.
âPadre?â I questioned carefully. âWhy are you here?â
âCanât a man pick up his son and beautiful wife from the airport. So, how was it? Did you love the Bahamas?â A strange smile formed across his usually scowling face.
âThey were beautiful. Thank you for paying for the trip,â I cautiously replied.
My fatherâs massive hand hit my shoulder, causing pain that instantly radiated down my forearm. He didnât do it to hurt me, he legit wanted to congratulate me on marrying Esme. Who was this man? Why was he being overly nice to me for no reason?
âDid you fuck her and break in that married pussy?â
âI donât think thatâs any of your business,â I coldly stated, pulling out of his grasp.
My fatherâs smile faltered for a half a breath, then returned like what I said didnât piss him off. âYou did!â his eyes danced in delight. âHear that, boys? Emilio actually got her to fuck him.â He laughed, gripping my shoulders even tighter. âDidnât think sheâd let ya, but like always, you worked your magic on her.â He turned to Esme. âDid my son fuck you good?â
âBetter than you,â she quietly mumbled, only loud enough for me to hear.
âWhat the fuck did you just say?â
âI said, only because he had to.â She darted a look my way, showing me with her eyes that she was lying to save the both of us.
âGood. Good. Now that youâre back, we have some business to tend to, Mijo. Iâve called Mateo, heâs on his way to meet us at the house. Thereâs a family meeting we need to have, and I want you both to be there. Esme, when you get back to the house, I want you to unpack and then be ready for me when Iâm done with my meeting. He echado de menos a mi perra.
