c Order with respect to iodine = 0. The rate of reaction is a constant (shown by the constant gradient) irrespective of iodine concentration (which is proportional to titre).

d Propanone and acid need to be in excess so that their concentrations remain effectively constant as the reaction progresses. If this were not the case, the change in rate could be due to the changing iodine concentration or the changing concentration of one of the other reactants.

e Sodium hydrogen carbonate neutralises the acid and thus removes one of the reactants:
